Website Redesign: SeaLife Aquarium Services
Challenge
SeaLife came to us to redesign their website that they had outgrown after years of continual and substantial growth. Without a clear site structure and navigation strategy, the existing site was difficult to use and quite confusing. The website also lacked visual appeal and failed to present SeaLife as the solid and professional company that they have grown to become. In addition, SeaLife had accrued an abundant amount of content over the years in the form of case studies, testimonials, photos, and resources that they wanted to share with their visitors. SeaLife knew that in order to take their business to the next level, they needed to have an exceptional online presence.
Strategy
We immediately honed in on the abundance of testimonials, photos, and case studies that SeaLife already had at their disposal. We organized the information by creating a site map that was clear, concise, and offered a good flow. All of this great information was to be set against a beautifully designed backdrop that would draw in visitors and keep their attention. We made sure to develop an intuitive navigation menu and added “quick links” to all of the pages that would take visitors to other pages of interest. The key was to create a content-rich and relevant site that would give SeaLife their well-earned credibility while also entertaining and educating visitors and potential clients.
Results
The new SeaLife website was very well received after its official launch in May 2010. SeaLife has gained confidence to expand their client base and to pursue larger clients.
